Aaron Graham pastors the District Church deep in the nation’s capitol. Aaron describes how he works alongside others to develop the preaching series at District Church; how he tries to tie each sermon to the story of self, us, and now; and how he got schooled in preaching during a two hour lunch with Mark Labberton.
Aaron serves as the founder and lead pastor of The District Church, a new church with a heart to multiply leaders to reach the city. Before moving to the District, Aaron started Quincy Street Missional Church in a low-income neighborhood of Boston where he served for five years. Most recently, Aaron worked as the Justice Revival Director for Sojourners. He is a graduate of the University of Richmond, Harvard’s Kennedy School, and is currently pursuing a doctorate at Fuller Theological Seminary. Aaron loves to be outdoors, travel, and play basketball. Aaron lives in the Columbia Heights neighborhood with his wife Amy and their children, Elijah and Natalie.
